April McKinney, Pioneer at Heart will be An Artisan's Emporium's Featured Artist on Saturday, October 6 from 10am-3pm.  She lives a heritage lifestyle in Caswell County  and works to inspire others along the way. Not only does she farm the land but she also sells her garden vegetables and fresh flowers at various farmer's markets. Her paintings of farm and beach scenes are on display and for sale in our store.

Here's some of the reviews she has received on her Facebook page:
Great work ethic and picture perfect upkeep of God's little acre in Caswell County.  Breathe of fresh air show on NC Now.   Would like to take my family for a tour or simply buy some products, flowers, or produce by this wonderful pioneer.
April represents what is great about living in a caring, conscientious community.  I'm so glad I found her at our local farmers curb market.

Featured Artists at An Artisan's Emporium during our June 16th "Red, White & Blue Saturday" will be Beth Dalton of Moonchicken & Co., Don Dalton with his Wooden Signs and Peyton Reed with her Chunky Crayons.  This will be a "Family Affair" and a real treat for us at AAE to have all three family members demonstrating and helping us celebrate on this day our Patriotism between Flag Day and the 4th of July.

Peyton has been a featured once before but we cannot get enough of her and her cute products!  This time, she is bringing with her the whole family.  Peyton is known as Maker Girl and runs her own business.  She peels crayons and organizes color families to create unique crayons for her younger friends. She also donates a portion of her proceeds to charity.

Beth has been been a long-time vendor since we opened our store.  She is well-known for her heat therapy bags, Nadia dolls, boo boo bags, sewing kits, catnip toys, memo boards, live plants and much more.  Beth has now recruited husband Don into the business of making wooden signs. Dalton's Signs include themes such as beach, lake,  Father's Day, and camping.  His signs make excellent gifts for family and friends.

Join us for this "Family Affair" on June 16th between 10am-3pm and enjoy seeing the assortment of work they produce.

An Artisan's Emporium's Featured Artist for the month of April is retired Person County

from esophagus cancer in 2007, Ernest began making his pine needle baskets.  He learned
his craft from a friend in Atlantic Beach.  He incorporates color and sliced walnut shells in
many of his pieces.  Ernest says, that all considered, he probably only makes $2.00 an hour
for his baskets.  He currently has many different styles and sizes displayed for sale in
An Artisan's Emporium.  Ernest's wife Mabel is his biggest supporter and publicist.  Come
by the store on Saturday, April 14th from 11am-1pm to watch Ernest demonstrate his craft.
You will be amazed at his fine craftsmanship.
